Season of Lent
Lent is here! But what is Lent? It is a season similar (yet opposite) to the season of Advent. As we experience the Advent season as a joyful, celebratory event leading up to Christmas, Lent is on the other end of the spectrum. It is more of a reflective and solemn religious observance on the church calendar.
Lent is to be for us, a time of preparation, but also traditionally, a time of self-denial, and a special time that we are called to more intentionally focus on God’s love for us in sending His one only son, who came to die for us. Join us for this season of Lent.
